"I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander or blackmail," the actress and activist wrote on social media Monday morning.

Evan Rachel Wood named Marilyn Manson as her alleged abuser on Monday. Of the musician, whose real name is Brian Warner, the actress and activist explained, "I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander or blackmail."

In the statement posted to her Instagram account, Wood said, "The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson. He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission. I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander or blackmail."

She continued, "I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives. I stand with the many victims who will no longer be silent."

The Westworld star first spoke out about being a sexual assault survivor in late 2016 to say that she has been raped twice, identifying one of her abusers only as a significant other who abused her while they were together. In the interview and then-public letter with Rolling Stone, Wood detailed how her past assaults were "one of the many factors" that contributed to the attempt to take her own life at age 22.

In May of 2018, Manson had a police report filed against him for unspecified sex crimes dating back to 2011. The district attorney declined the case, citing that the statute of limitations had expired and an "absence of corroboration," according to the court filing. Manson's attorney, Howard E. King, Esq., denied the claims in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter at the time, saying, in part: "The allegations made to the police were and are categorically denied by Mr. Warner and are either completely delusional or part of a calculated attempt to generate publicity ... Any claim of sexual impropriety or imprisonment at that, or any other, time is false."

In response to Wood's social media post on Monday, at least four other women came forward with allegations of similarly horrifying accounts of abuse against Manson. Wood shared these accounts on her Instagram Stories. Some of the details have been published by Vanity Fair.

The accounts allege psychological abuse; horrifying "deranged behavior," including blackmail, manipulation and isolation; physical abuse, such as cutting; and rape. The women similarly say they have suffered from panic attacks, PTSD and/or depression over the alleged abuse and are speaking out now in an effort to demand accountability.

The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to a rep for Manson.

Wood met Manson when she was 18 and he was 36, and was briefly engaged to the shock-rocker in 2010. Since speaking out in 2016, she has become an advocate for sexual and domestic abuse survivors. In 2018, she testified before a House Judiciary Subcommittee with the goal of getting the Sexual Assault Survivors Bill of Rights passed nationwide. In 2019, she again spoke out about her past abuse while testifying before California legislators on behalf of the Phoenix Act, a bill she created to expand the statute of limitations for crimes involving domestic violence from three years to five. It went into effect in January 2020.

Before posting her statement on Monday, Wood shared an image of her in character as Dolores Abernathy on HBO's Westworld with her quote, "I imagined a story where I didn't have to be the damsel."
