A24 and the filmmaker worked together on features 'Hereditary' and 'Midsommar.'
Ari Aster has set his latest project at A24, with Joaquin Phoenix set to star.
Aster wrote and will direct Disappointment Blvd., which is described as an "intimate, decades-spanning portrait of one of the most successful entrepreneurs of all time." All other plot details are being kept under wraps.
Aster will produce with Lars Knudsen under their Square Peg banner, along with A24, who worked with Aster on his feature Hereditary and Midsommar.
Phoenix recently picked up an Oscar for his role in Joker, and will next be seen in Mike Mills' A24 feature C'mon C'mon. He is also set to reteam with Ridley Scott in Kitbag, a biopic of Napoleon Bonaparte at Apple.
