NORTH HOLLYWOOD — A pedestrian was struck by multiple vehicles and killed Tuesday night along the Ventura (134) Freeway in North Hollywood.
The California Highway Patrol received reports about 7:50 p.m. of a person running across the eastbound Ventura Freeway just east of the Hollywood (170) Freeway, said Officer Stephan Brandt.
The person was struck by vehicles while in the number one lane, and died at the scene, Brandt said.
Officers shut down multiple lanes on the freeway while they investigated the crash. All lanes of the freeway were reopened about 11:55 p.m., the CHP said.
