Hollywood Casino and Columbus Public Health are joining forces to combat the spread of COVID-19 and ensure free vaccines are distributed on the city’s westside.
Free COVID-19 vaccines will be distributed by Columbus Public Health on June 12 between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hollywood Casino Columbus, 200 Georgesville Road. Those seeking a vaccination must be at least 12 years old and will be offered either the Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson vaccines by appointment or walk in. Those who receive the Pfizer vaccine will be scheduled for a second appointment at the casino July 10. For adults 21 years of age and over, Hollywood Casino is offering $10 free slotplay for each covid vaccine received that day (up to $20).
“COVID-19 vaccines are the best tool we have to protect health and get to the other side of the pandemic, but we need to get more shots in arms” says Columbus Health Commissioner Dr. Mysheika Roberts. “The vaccination rate in the casino’s zip code is only around 36percent, which is lower than the rest of the county. This clinic gives us the opportunity to take the vaccine to that neighborhood so we can reduce barriers and protect more people.”

There is no better feeling than being able to host this clinic after the year we have all experienced together,” said Jason Birney, vice president and general manager at Hollywood Casino Columbus. “We are eager to encourage our guests, team members and neighbors to get vaccinated so we can put COVID-19 behind us for good.”
Parking is available at Hollywood Casino and guests may enter the facility through the Event Center entrances. Guests should plan to bring their photo ID and insurance cards, if those items are available.
