Hollywoods Trois Mec Restaurant Closing Permanently: Report - Hollywood, CA Patch

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Another casualty of the coronavirus pandemic, the tiny-but-acclaimed Trois Mec restaurant in Hollywood is closing permanently after seven years in business, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Boasting a Michelin star and rave reviews by top critics, the restaurant received widespread attention well beyond its 26-seat space on Highland Avenue, which it took over from a pizzeria in 2013.

Under chef Ludo Lefebvre, Trois Mec served a French-inspired tasting menu, and also lent its space to the nonprofit World Central Kitchen.

It did not reopen for takeout service during the pandemic, and management told the Times that reopening for partial dine-in service wouldn't be enough to make up for the the losses imposed by COVID-19.

The list of restaurants, retailers and other businesses forced to close due to the coronavirus continues to grow longer, as some industry leaders are calling on Congress to pass a new federal aid package to avoid further closures.
